LIAM O’SHEA, bestseller author of the SciFi saga, Eiloe.

All I knew was pain – a childhood filled with cruelty and villains who used and abused.

Until Éolie.

I first heard her sweet, angelical voice in the dark of night, when I lay bathed in my own impending death. Seventeen years later, it’s not the nightmare she pulled me out of that haunts me, but the glimpse of Happily Ever After she revealed just before disappearing.

They said she was a figment of my boundless imagination. A wish. A dream. Until I had no choice but to believe them, cherishing my imaginary savior the only way I knew how – in fiction and lore.

But fantasy has a way of transforming reality. When I finally tire of being a citizen of the world, I take an impromptu sabbatical as a professor at a small college on the coast of Maine. And there I see her, the girl with the sea-green eyes and angelic voice.

My world turns upside down. Turns out my girl is for real, and the pull between us is anything but imaginary.

Happily Ever After has a story … and this one is mine.

"Is there an author past or present that may have inspired you to write? If yes please tell us who this author is and how they may have inspired you? "

That’s an interesting question. Truth? It’s the other way around. I have so many authors past and present inspiring me to read, and read some more. A quick peek at Mes Coups de Coeur tab will certify it (or certify me, =) whichever comes first), http://www.sylvieparizeau.com/mes-coups-de-coeur-indie/

For as long as I can remember, I have always been a bookworm. The shy one, the quiet one. I have older siblings and by the time I came around, I fortuitously had access to an extensive library already. Books fascinated me from then on, and even though I couldn’t read any of them yet, I used to get lost in stories I made up just from the images for hours on end. But the stories lived in my head, the quintessential daydreamer. So, bookworm and all, I never really thought I’d be bitten by the writing bug. But it’s a pretty tenacious little bug that one, and once inoculated it wouldn’t let go of me. So here I am, typing away at my laptop, getting it all out there.

Do I have a writing ritual? I guess I do. Aside from drinking (way too much) organic Guarana caffeine, I have a writing/reading nook upstairs with a window seat and a view of the forest. A view I’m more than happy to share en direct from my winter wonderland on my home page.

It’s a quiet room. A peaceful room. When I step into that room, I step into an alternate universe, and it puts me in the frame of mind needed. I let the surrounding beauty infuse me.

In case you’re left wondering by now ;), my absolute favorite genre is romance. Anything romance. That’s what inspires me.

As a paralegal by day, I delve too many times to count into the gray side of humanity. Civil litigations, while they run their course, have the uncanny ability to bring the worst out of anyone, no matter which side of opposing parties. And reading, or writing, heartwarming love stories consistently colors my way back to Life’s brilliant hues at the end of the day.

And if one of my stories can touch one of you in the same way, you will have made my year. Seriously.

Keep on believing in Happily Ever After; I’m right there with you.

Season greetings from my winter wonderland, and happy reading holidays everyone!

Author Bio:
A paralegal by day and incurable romantic by night, Sylvie is a cross-genre, and she takes Happily Ever After very seriously. The End just isn’t in her vocabulary.
An incorrigible daydreamer, she now feeds her obsession with epilogues by concocting stories in which heroes deal with the happy from the get-go. Ready, or not. And she confesses under oath to loving every minute of it.
Sylvie lives her own Happily Ever After in the beautiful mountains of Les Laurentides in Northern Quebec, alongside her whole set of characters.
In between treks in their backyard wilderness, you can find them hanging out at www.sylvieparizeau.com
