Zat is a dreamer from the distant future—a time when humans no longer dream and Earth is a desolate wasteland. He dreams of the beautiful Earth of the past, and a fiery-haired beauty named Babe. Against the wisdom of his peers, Zat decides to risk everything to travel back in time and live in Babe’s dreams…

Babe is the perpetual new girl in town. Her father’s job frequently moves the family around the country, and Babe just longs for a place to call home. As she settles into the sleepy town of Sugar Dunes, Florida, Babe begins to have strange dreams of a green-eyed boy named Zat. Night after night, Babe shows Zat her world. But the dreams come at the cost of nearly crippling migraines every morning. Babe’s life outside of her dreams pales in comparison to her growing love for Zat and their time spent together.

But the more time Babe and Zat spend together in her dreams, the more Babe’s pain increases, and Zat begins to question the reality of his existence. How can he live a life with Babe, when all they have is her dreams?

Can a dream become a reality?

My Review:

Babe a seventeen year old girl has moved to Florida from California with her mom and dad. Babe is the new girl in town but she is used to that as her family moves around a lot with her dad being a golf pro. But the move this time has left her sad as she had to leave her boyfriend behind but hey they can talk on Skype. Babe really looks forward to their little chats until she meets this new guy Zat in her dreams.

Now Babe no longer looks forward to her Skype calls with her boyfriend from Cali, now she can’t wait to go to sleep at night so she can be with her new boyfriend Zat. Zat is from the future Earth where they have the technology to travel back in time through dreams. Babe wants to find a way for her and Zat to be together all the time and not just in her dreams.

When Babe is not dreaming about Zat and is awake she spends her days working at a tennis store at the country club where her dad works as a professional golfer. Babe likes her new job but she has little trouble with one of the regulars that comes into the store as he makes advances towards her in an inappropriate way. This guy is a lot older than Babe and he is a married man who doesn’t like to take no for an answer. Babe doesn’t want to say anything because she is afraid that she will jeopardize her father’s job and she is friends with the man’s son.

I will have to say that Dream Me is unlike any book I have read before. Dream Me will take you to places that is out of this world. Are Babe’s dreams real or are they just a way of her comping with having to leave her real life boy behind in California? I would like to have known more about Zat’s life and his world. What happened or is happening to future Earth? Babe is a very great and strong person but Zat is just as wonderful as Babe if not more so considering what he does in the end. Dream Me has been a wonderful journey but I would like to know more about Babe, Zat and all of Babe’s new friends.

I would recommend Dream Me to anyone who just loves a great story or just wants a quick read for the weekend.
